Since day one of getting into the world of adult entertainment – in 2012 when I quit my full time “real life” job to become a webcam model – I knew that this would be a decision that would forever have an impact on my life and therefore decided right then and there that from then on, I would live my life truest to myself and that I would do it proudly.
And not only that, but I WOULD do business with and be involved in other industries as much as I damn well pleased, and adult work would NOT have an impact on that because I refused to make that a part of my story.
Have I been discriminated against for doing adult film? You bet. Does it stop me? HELL TO THE NO.
When one door slams another opens. When someone tells me “No” I keep asking until I get a yes.
And unless I absolutely have to, I don’t even bother asking. I just do exactly what I want, when I want.
Aside from the exact nature of the industry I work in, this is a part of life and it’s something I would experience no matter what line of work I was in. It happens to everyone.
The only true barriers in life are the ones we create for ourselves.
The adult community is near and dear to me and I am beyond proud to represent it as whole. I am beyond proud to live my life 100% authentically true to myself.
I am beyond proud to be a walking, talking epitome of what it means to be an independent empowered female in this day and age, just living my life and having fun. Not to mention being an outlet for grown ups to get to know themselves in a safe and healthy way, dive into a fantasy world and most often STRENGTHEN their intimate relationships.
Adult entertainment is all about fantasy. Much like playing video games or kicking back to watch a good movie. It’s about unplugging, just BEING and letting your brain (and body) roam free in a state of being that comes naturally to us.
Because it’s HUMAN NATURE.
I REFUSE to even entertain to be told by others what I can and cannot do with my own life (really, I used to throw EPIC tantrums when I didn’t get what I wanted as a child, and anytime I’m told “no,” I just go after want whatever I want THAT much more)…
…more importantly, I REFUSE to even entertain to be told by others what I can and cannot do with MY OWN BODY.
Adult entertainment is only a fraction of who I am and what I stand for. Why should I feel shame for being a part of a community that literally helps to hold the world together [like can you IMAGINE a world without adult entertainment?! LMFAO] and is epitomized by diversity and all-inclusiveness.
All the friends I’ve brought from the “outside world” to my work functions have said the same thing afterwards…something along the lines of, “Wow, everyone is just SO nice and cool and accepting!”
It’s like, yeah. Of course they are. Because everyone CHOSE to be here. We all WANT to be here. We exist on a certain level of understanding of life and are more than happy to share that with others who are open minded and accepting of different lifestyles, too.
And not only that, but we’ve freed ourselves from the chains society has placed on us by trying to tell us that sex and porn is bad and wrong (while still consuming porn behind closed doors).
It’s classic hypocrisy…which is exactly why it’s laughable to take any of those opinions or commentary seriously.
It’s the people that choose to shame others for their life choices that are simply projecting how they feel about THEMSELVES on the inside, outwards. It’s those with small minds [and in my experience, are also the ones who consume the most of what we as a community create].
Like I said, classic hypocrisy at it’s finest.
And whether you’re in my line of work or not, it doesn’t matter. Because deciding to be 100% authentic to yourself and BE yourself at all times is in itself a gift to the world. Many people don’t even get that far because they spend too much time trying to fit in with everyone else.
That’s all ass backwards. You are the only version of you who will EVER exist. EVER. Insane, isn’t it?!
That’s not by accident.
EVERYONE here has a purpose. Why would you want to deprive the world of YOU, in your truest form?
All I really need to say is this: Please, own the fuck out of who you are. Every bit of it.
Be unapologetic. You owe ZERO people any sort of explanation.
As long as you are doing GOOD for yourself and others, staying safe and healthy, that’s all that matters.
Be you && be it proud. 🤍
